MTV

The MTV Movie Awards are the one movie award show for the fans. But over the years, there’s been less interest in the event, with a steady decline in ratings and overall interest since 2011, hitting an all-time low in 2015.  So, to promote the show, hosted by The Rock and Kevin Hart, we decided to let the fans themselves actually write the promos. We held the world’s largest live stream, from ten phones at once across Facebook Live, YouTube, YouNow, Periscope and Meerkat. Over 4 million people tuned in as our hosts took direction from some of the 388,000 fans who engaged across every social media platform. We created over three dozen pieces of original content to promote the show on TV, digital and social media. The broadcast drew over 3.5 million viewers, a 54% increase over 2015, with online activity up over 100% from the previous years, making it the most successful MTV Movie Awards promotional campaign in history.
